Garmin Announces the GPSMAP 496

As reported at AvWeb and Garmin’s Website, the new Garmin GPSMAP 496 builds on the success of the recent GPSMAP 396. The 396 provided one of the first portable, single-box solutions to realtime aviation weather and terrain awareness in a mapping aviation GPS. GPSMAP 496 upgrades include taxiway charts, enhanced resolution of ground terrain, and a faster processor.
